Pros and cons of talkSPORT app for iPhone and iPad
talkSPORT app good for
I live in France and the one gaping hole is no "round-the-grounds" coverage on Saturday match days, although this is probably due to coverage rights. If you listen for any length of time there is a lot of repetition of self-advertising during breaks. When youve heard Colin Murrays sporting recollections once .......
In general their line-up is excellent, with the sole exception of Murray who can best be described as a "hanger-on". Their coverage excels when they are forced to mix-up presenters - why they dont do this more baffles me.
Overall its to be recommended but with a few costless tweaks, no more than 5 or 6, it could be untouchable.
I too, live in France and feel as though I wrote the review above myself - maybe I did when drunk one night. The live coverage abroad gives you very little feel that the commentators are at the match. Mixing the broadcasters up is a great idea - eg Gough & Adrian together seem to labour, but split them up and they shine. Could not agree more regarding Murray - hes like the guy that every group of guys have. Pass him around a group of 10, preferably 20, and hes bearable - but to be stuck with him in a pub on your own - maybe Brazil should try it for his health !
Thanks to talk sport app Im aware of what happening in Premier league football in live mode.
talkSPORT you are the best I live in France and boy did you save my armchair football fan career,I especially like Colin Murray.Though the whole station is five star, thank you.
Would like to add or antagonise if you prefer mr no power but Colin Murray is talk sport the people who surround him each day make his show what it is but without him in the middle, the hub of u like there would b no show!!So sorry mate dont agree with you and Man U forever. "Keep on keeping on keep on keeping strong " to quote a Manchester band??? Cheers the G.
Waited so long for talkSPORT app to come out....and now its here, and free to boot.
First impressions... Very good stable programme. Cheers!!
Its Perfect if i want to Listen to Football
All the Action live
Its Great
Bebaust here in Germany i Cant watch english Football
Great app for listening to a great radio station. The only issue I have is that you cant keep the feed going when you close the app so its not possible to use other apps at the same time. Never the less, highly recommended.
Some bad moments
Just as buggy as the previous version. Audio will cut in and out at will, forcing you to power off/on the phone which forces the app to reset and re-establish connection. The listen again feature is handy, except when it is interrupted by a phone call or a timer/alarm it doesnt remember your place in the program and you must start over from the beginning. The same applies when the app crashes or the audio just quits for no apparent reason. With no way to advance the audio, this almost makes it unusable.
On the plus side, no annoying ads right under the play button for you to accidentally click.
Love talkSPORT, listen to it everyday, but this new update fails to play the live show. Its a pretty important feature to have! Fix please, or revert to the old app.
Love talkSPORT, and the App. But the new update means I cant listen live. Please fix as I am lost without it!
Please fix it so we can listen to live radio again otherwise its useless ,Pleaseeeeeeeeeee fix it
Frustrating experience. Buffers and unexpectedly stops when other radio apps work fine. Then it plays extra ads again to add to the frustration.
The on demand content is measly 3 minute interviews. Should offer whole shows like with the Press Pass. If you wake up later you should be able to listen to Alan Brazil or if you go out Friday you miss Keys and Grey. Alan Brazil Best Bits is duplication of interviews available individually with the added annoyance of the moose giving introductions.
Good radio...terrible app.
Interface is poor. Try to listen to one match, tiny play button at the top and it takes me to commentary for another match. Tells me commentary is available online. Go to website but format is not supported on iPhone 6s. Very poor.
